Michael Miller is responsible for investment due diligence, modeling and pricing for GA Group Retail Solutions. Additionally, he is responsible for financial operations in Australia and works closely with the European finance team with funding and finance needs.
Miller started with GA Group Retail Solutions in 2006 and is an integral member of the team that negotiated, structured, modeled and priced some of the largest liquidation transactions in history (Circuit City, Mervyn's, Bon Ton, Payless Shoes, Toys R Us, Barney's NY, Gander Mountain, Gymboree to name a few).
Prior to GA Group Retail Solutions, he worked with two other liquidation firms, Yellen Partners and The Ozer Group. He worked as the primary financial operative on dozens of liquidation transactions - the largest of these include: Service Merchandise, Helig Meyers, Big Bear Grocery (Penn Traffic), Phar-Mor, Garden Botanika, and FAO Schwartz. Primary responsibilities included strategic project management, sales/inventory analysis, cash management and controls, client communications as well as management of financial staff to accomplish the project goals.
Additionally, he has worked in corporate accounting for both Principal Financial Group and JumboSports Inc. where his primary responsibilities ranged from capital and fixed assets to oversight of sales and expense management as well as store operations accounting. He was also tasked with assisting the bankruptcy estate of JumboSports with the winddown and disposition of all assets.
Miller attended Drake University where he received two Bachelor's of Science in Finance and Accounting.
