Colleague Spotlight: Sheron Findley, Associate Director, Field Exam
Valuation, Vision, and Value: Getting to Know
Sheron Findley
In this edition of our colleague spotlight, we are excited to introduce Sheron
Findley, MBA, who has recently joined GA Group as an Associate Director, Field Exam.
With a sharp eye for risk and a forward-thinking approach to the industry, she
brings a sophisticated blend of technical expertise and collaborative spirit to
our diligence practice.
Redefining ABL: It’s More Than Just the Math
While many view ABL as a purely quantitative discipline, Sheron Findley
believes the secret to excellence lies elsewhere. "A frequent
misunderstanding is that asset-based lending is solely about the numbers,"
she explains. "In reality, it requires in-depth industry knowledge and a
nuanced understanding of evolving market conditions."
Her professional background is rooted in this philosophy. As an ABL
Examiner, she specializes in the rigorous evaluation of assets, ensuring both
accurate valuation and robust risk assessment. She was drawn to the field by
its distinct market dynamics and the constant opportunity to engage with a
broad spectrum of industries.
Solving Complexity through Expertise
Sheron Findley is particularly passionate about navigating the
intricacies of inventory valuation—a challenge that has become even more
critical as shifting tariffs impact various global industries.
She recently put this expertise to work leading the evaluation of a digital
learning platform. By moving beyond simple list pricing to analyze extended
costs after amortization, she provided a more accurate picture of the company's
true recoverable value. Her recommendation was clear: list price often obscures
the realities of obsolescence, while a more nuanced approach ensures stronger,
safer collateral monitoring.
Embracing the Future
As she integrates into her new team, Sheron Findley is looking ahead at
how we can continue to evolve. She is a vocal advocate for the integration of automation
into ABL workflows, noting that these tools are set to significantly improve
both accuracy and efficiency.
She is equally excited about the firm's
trajectory: "I am confident that GA Group's innovative approach—offering
combined service packages such as Field Exams, Appraisals, and Machinery and
Equipment valuations—will establish us as a comprehensive provider," she
says. "I am eager to immerse myself in the company culture, contribute to
team-building initiatives, and share my project insights with my new
colleagues."
A Commitment to Community
Outside of the office, Sheron Findley's dedication to detail and
structure remains a guiding force. Whether she is serving as the Treasurer for
her Homeowners Association board, participating in church outreach, or focusing
on her personal fitness goals, she brings the same level of commitment to her
personal life as she does to her professional responsibilities.
Her colleagues and clients have already noted her approachable and
adaptable nature—qualities that are essential for fostering the strong,
productive working relationships she is known for.
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Sheron Findley!
