Colleague Spotlight: Celia Teehan, Sales Administrator

At the heart of every successful team is the person who keeps the gears turning, the deadlines on track, and the collaboration flowing. As we continue celebrating our talented colleagues through our Spotlight Series, we are thrilled to feature Sales Administrator Celia Teehan, who will reach an impressive seven-year milestone with the company this June.

We sat down with her to get a behind-the-scenes look at her role, her recent achievements, and what keeps her excited as she continues to grow her career with us.

The Pulse of the Sales Team

For Celia, no two days are the same. Serving as a key support pillar for the sales team - specifically in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast region - her workday is a balancing act.

"My day-to-day is a mix of coordinating proposals, helping manage client communications, tracking deals, analyzing data, chasing invoice collections, and keeping things organized behind the scenes," Celia explains. "It's a mix of time-sensitive tasks, like working with the operations teams to scope and sign deals, and long-term projects, such as maintaining data integrity and organizing industry intel within our CRM."

When asked about the most rewarding part of the job, she points to the full lifecycle of a project: "Seeing everything come together, from the beginning stages of a deal to the finalized engagement. Knowing I play a part in keeping things on track is really meaningful to me."

Building for the Future

Beyond the daily hustle, Celia has been instrumental in shaping how the team operates. Recently, she has been working with the admin team to develop comprehensive training materials.

"It's exciting because it helps bring more consistency to our process and should make things more efficient over time," says Celia. By creating these resources, she is helping to streamline onboarding for future hires while establishing a repository of best practices for the entire department.

This curiosity extends to other areas of the business as well. Celia has been expanding her knowledge by learning about our Advisory & Valuation Services and Field Examinations. "Working with teams across our different divisions has helped me better understand the bigger picture and how everything connects," she notes.

Culture and Community

When asked what she appreciates most about the company, Celia highlights the collaborative spirit. "People are always willing to jump in to help or answer questions," she says. She also values the longevity of the team, noting that seeing so many colleagues dedicate their careers to GA Group speaks volumes about our positive culture.

For those just starting their journey with us, Celia offers a simple, encouraging piece of advice: "Ask questions early and often and don't be afraid to take notes. There's a lot to learn but, with consistency, it will soon be second nature. And don't be afraid to lean on those who have been around longer—we are rooting for your success!"

A Personal Note

When the workday ends, Celia is all about enjoying the little things. With the long New England winter behind us, she has been enjoying neighborhood walks with her husband and son.

Celia also shared a travel story with us that is hard to beat: before her first full-time job out of college, she embarked on an epic journey that spanned from Europe to Asia, followed by a cross-country road trip across the US.

Reflecting on her approach to both life and work, Celia shares a mantra that resonates deeply with her commitment to excellence: "Just keep showing up and doing the small things well."

Thank you, Celia, for your seven years of dedication and for all the hard work you invest into keeping us moving forward. Those "small things" you talk about doing well have made a big impact!
